What is poker datamining?

Mining (sometimes called "datamining") is a large volume of hand history (most often from several hundred thousand to millions) in which you did not participate, but which you can import into your poker tracker in order to obtain useful information about your opponents strategy.

Is datamining prohibited in poker?

The official position of all poker rooms is unanimous: "The use of any hand history, except the one that was personally played by you, is prohibited." At the same time, every professional player (with rare exceptions) is using poker mining. At the same time, they do not risk anything, since poker rooms are simply not able to determine whether a particular player uses someone else’s hand history. The main condition is not to download poker mining with the opened client of any iPoker room. Download hand history first, and then turn on the client.
